What did you want to be when you were growing up?
I always wanted to be a an elementary school teacher growing up. When I reached college, I thought I wanted to be a sports journalist & then changed my mind a few times. I’m excited that I’ve ended up at KU as an Academic Advisor.

My favorite place on campus is:
The Campanile. As a KU grad, I got to take part in the tradition of walking down the hill, which is think is the absolute best tradition KU has and KU has some great traditions. Also, my first date with the husband ended with us talking for hours atop of the campanile, he later proposed in that same spot 2.5 years later. So the campanile definitely has a special place in my heart.

My favorite KU memory is:
Winning the National Championship my freshman year in 2008. I am a huge sports fan and one of the reasons I came to KU was for KU basketball. I remember running down to Mass Street to celebrate and just high fiving anyone and everyone. Mass street was complete chaos but so much fun. I wish every KU student could experience a National Championship win, it’s such an unforgettable atmosphere & experience.

If you only had 1 day to explore Lawrence, what would you do?
If I only had one day in Lawrence, I would start the day by going to breakfast at the Roost (my favorite) & enjoy people watching from the patio. Afterwards, I would walk up and down Mass street and explore all of the unique shops and people. Then I would stop and enjoy some Sylas and Maddy’s ice cream (Maddy’s Mud is my favorite, but I love trying new options too). Hopefully, KU basketball would have an afternoon home game that I could watch from Allen Fieldhouse. After the game was over, I would finish the day by bringing Encore (best Chinese food! )to the top of the Oread to enjoy the view.
