I became an advisor because:
I love helping students combine their passions and strengths.

What did you want to be when you were growing up?
When I was a kid, I wanted to be vet. When I was a college freshman, a physical therapist; then as a college junior, a journalist; and then, as a graduate student, an academic advisor (seriously!).

My favorite place on campus is:
Wescoe Beach

My favorite KU memory is:
Watching my very first basketball game – (rock chalk!)!

Advice to college students:
Take at least one class per year that you don’t know anything about.

What is at the top of your bucket list?
Visiting every national park.

Favorite quote:
“How wild it was, to let it be.” -Cheryl Strayed from the book Wild.

If you only had 1 day to explore Lawrence, what would you do?
First things first: coffee; then, I’d go check out the trails @ Clinton Lake with my dogs, Tilley & Howie (maybe take my kayak, too); dinner at Mass St. Fish House; and then ice-cream at Sylas & Maddy’s.

Favorite show:
Right now it's Mindhunter on Netflix.
